Prideland Student Accommodation – Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to Prideland Student Accommodation (“Prideland”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions govern your stay at any Prideland facility and your interaction with our services both online and offline. By applying for or residing at Prideland, you agree to abide by the terms outlined below.

2. Eligibility

Accommodation is strictly for full-time or part-time students enrolled at registered institutions in Zambia.

Proof of enrollment may be requested during or after the application process.

3. Application & Payment

• All applications must be completed via our official website or in person.
• A non-refundable application or booking fee may apply.
• Rent is payable monthly, termly, or annually based on your chosen plan.
• Late payments beyond 5 working days will attract a penalty of 5% of the due amount.
• Payments are made via bank transfer, mobile money, or our integrated payment systems.

4. Check-In / Check-Out

• Check-in is allowed only after payment is confirmed and all required documentation is submitted.
• Check-out must occur at the end of the agreed term unless extended through our online portal or front desk.
• Any items left behind after check-out will be disposed of after 7 days.

5. Conduct & Behavior

• Residents are expected to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment.
• Noise must be kept at reasonable levels, especially during study hours (8PM – 6AM).
• Drug use, excessive alcohol consumption, vandalism, or any criminal activity will result in immediate eviction and possible police action.
• Repeated misconduct or rule-breaking may lead to suspension of accommodation privileges.

6. Room Maintenance & Property

• Rooms and facilities must be kept clean and tidy.
• Damages caused intentionally or through negligence will be charged to the student or guardian.
• No unauthorized modifications or installations (e.g. TV mounts, fridges, electric stoves) are allowed without written consent.

7. Visitors & Overnight Guests

• Visitors must sign in at the reception and are only allowed between 9Am - 8PM.
• No overnight guests are allowed unless approved in writing.
• Students are responsible for the behavior of their guests.

8. Internet & Utilities

• Basic internet is provided for academic use. Downloading torrents, streaming pirated content, or running servers is strictly forbidden.
• Power and water are included but subject to fair use policies.
• Misuse or abuse may result in suspension of services.

9. Termination of Stay

• Either party may terminate the stay with 30 days written notice.
• No refunds are provided for partial months unless due to Prideland’s failure to provide the service.
• Immediate termination may occur if these terms are violated.

10. Limitation of Liability

• Prideland is not responsible for loss or theft of personal property.
• Injuries sustained due to negligence on the part of the student.
• Service interruptions due to ZESCO/power outages or water shortages beyond our control.

11. Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these terms. Students will be notified via email or the student portal. Continued residence implies acceptance of updated terms.
